Craniosacral Therapy for School-Age Kids in Portland

Gentle, child-led bodywork for kids who carry a lot in their bodies.

Gentle, fully clothed bodywork for kids who carry a lot in their bodies.

School-age children are growing fast and navigating busy days, big feelings, learning, friendships, sports, screens, and new expectations. Sometimes that can show up as body tension, headaches, restless sleep, overwhelm, or difficulty settling.

Kate offers gentle craniosacral therapy in Portland for children—especially ages 5–12—who could use a calm, supportive space to rest and reconnect with their bodies.

Is this a fit for my child?

Parents often bring their child in when they notice:

Body tension

Frequent tension in the jaw, neck, shoulders, or body

Big transitions

A child who seems easily overwhelmed by busy days or big transitions

Headaches

Headaches or discomfort after school, sports, or screen time

Sensory needs

Sensory sensitivity or a need for extra support with body awareness

Trouble winding down

Difficulty winding down, resting, or sleeping comfortably

Stress/Overwhelm

Stress around school, friendships, family changes, or new routines

Craniosacral therapy is not about changing who your child is. It offers quiet, gentle support for their body to settle and for them to feel more at ease.

What does a session cost?

School-age craniosacral therapy sessions cost:

  • $180 for the initial 60 minute visit

  • $65 for 30 minute follow up visits

How often will my child need to come in?

Every child and family is different. Some families book a single session for support during a particular transition, while others choose to return periodically for ongoing care.

After your child’s first session, we can talk about what you noticed, your goals, and whether another visit would feel useful.

A gentle complement to your child’s care team

Craniosacral therapy can be a supportive addition alongside pediatric, mental-health, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and other care. If Kate believes another provider would be helpful, she will let you know and help you think through next steps.
