Lactation 101 for the Lactating Parent & Their Supporting Partner (Group Class)

This small-group, online lactation class is held once a month. Partners attend together with other families due around the same time. This is a free, no-cost class that runs about an hour long. Class is conducted from Portland, OR so all class times are listed in Pacific Time, but all families in any location are more than welcome to attend!

You are encouraged to sign up for a class time that is near your expected due date–within a month or two is plenty of time to prepare. Classes are offered monthly, so hopefully you can find a time that works for you and your family.

Class Contents

This class is for expecting parents who plan on lactating and feeding their babies human milk. This is an evidence-based, WHO-code compliant class to cover the “just what you need to know” class for the parent who will be providing milk to their new infant. Learn the basics of lactation and infant feeding so you feel more confident and prepared for the first few days and weeks with your new baby.

And as the non-lactating parent or support partner, you need a completely different set of skills. This class has also been created for you - the grandparent, nanny, doula, parent or partner who is providing support to a breastfeeding dyad or family.
